Sandra Armstrong talks to CHIP 101.9 about Mansfield-et-Pontefract’s 2025 budget
Clin d’œil sur l’Outaouais, hosted by François Carrier, returned this week. For this first edition of 2025, Carrier was pleased to welcome Sandra Armstrong, mayor of Mansfield-et-Pontefract. They discussed the 2025 budget for the municipality, which is the most populous in the MRC Pontiac. Armstrong emphasized that Mansfield’s municipal council has tried to make responsible choices while striving to offer quality services to its citizens. Among other things, she unveiled a $180,000 investment in one of the municipality’s sand pits to bring it up to date with environmental regulations.
The municipality also intends to build a new municipal office and fire station, but these projects are scheduled for 2026-2027. In a little over nine months, citizens throughout Pontiac and Quebec will be called upon to vote for their elected municipal officials. This expense is already accounted for in the 2025 budget.
Sandra Armstrong, who also holds the position of pro-warden, said she had begun to consider whether she would run again in 2025.
