Tim Ferrigan discusses winning the Prix David
On Friday, the Municipality of Campbell’s Bay was awarded the Prix David for their work to make the newly dedicated Maurice Beauregard Park accessible to people with limited mobility. The municipality was nominated by Loisir Sport Outaouais, and was represented at the gala by several councillors. Pro-Mayor Tim Ferrigan explained that they weren’t expecting to win, but it was a pleasant surprise.
He said that accessibility was always a part of their vision for the park, in order to allow seniors and other people with mobility issues to be included. He also detailed some of their future plans for the park, which included washrooms and a shuffleboard court.
The full interview with Ferrigan (11m55) is available here.
