Pontiac tourism project nominated for marketing award
One of MRC Pontiac’s tourism projects has been nominated for the City Nation Place Awards in the Best Communication Strategy category. The nomination is for the “Route 148 – Your Best Vanlife In The Outaouais” promotion, which was entered by Visages régionaux, the marketing company the MRC hired to spearhead the project.
City Nation Place bills itself as a “forum for cities, nations, and places to collaborate and share best practice on place branding and place marketing strategies” and they hold an international awards gala each year to celebrate their members’ work.
This strategy allowed the region to obtain significant visibility, among other things with the arrival of the famous chef and television host, Ricardo Larivée. This Pontiac project is nominated alongside others from across the world, including South Africa, Israel, Iceland and Fiji (see below).
