Outgoing CHIP manager honoured at Chamber’s Black Tie Gala
Roughly 100 people gathered at the Spruceholme Inn in Fort-Coulonge on Saturday night for the Pontiac Chamber of Commerce’s second Black Tie Gala. The event was presented through the partnership of CHIP 101.9, and there was a tribute to outgoing station manager Francois Carrier. After 12 years at the helm of the organization, Carrier recently accepted a role as the new general manager of Le Droit, the French-language news outlet based in Gatineau.
Two of the attendees who toasted Carrier were the mayors of Fort-Coulonge and Mansfield, Christine Francoeur and Sandra Armstrong.
Offering a tribute on behalf of the station were the author of this story, as well as Geneviève Gagnon, who will be taking on Carrier’s management duties.
