19 January 2023 à 8:30 am

In a press release issued late yesterday afternoon, the government announced that  Josée Filion, who has served as CISSSO Director since 2019, will move to new post at the Ministry of Health and social services, working on “strategic files”. Health Minister Christian Dubé announced that the government had nominated Yves St-Onge as the interim Director, effective this morning.

In the release, the government states that St-Onge has extensive experience as a high-level manager, holding a master’s degree from l’École nationale d’administration publique, as well as a bachelor’s degree in personnel management and industrial relations. After working for the City of Montreal from 1974 to 1982 where he held various management positions in youth centers, he held various management positions within the health and social services network from 2003 to 2017, notably at the CISSS des Laurentides. He was also president and deputy director of the organization from 2017 to 2020, before becoming its interim Director until 2020. St-Onge was also interim head of the National Institute of Public Health of Quebec between February and June 2022.

“With his experience as a senior manager, Mr. St-Onge has valuable expertise that will benefit the CISSS de l’Outaouais and the entire population of this region,” Minister Dubé wrote in the release.” I am convinced that with his in-depth knowledge of the issues facing our network, his proven leadership and his interpersonal skills, he will be able to carry out the major projects of this establishment, in collaboration with his team and his partners. I would also like to thank Ms. Fillion for her collaboration and support.”

Filion’s mandate had been renewed for a period of two years last May by Minister Dubé.
