CHIP 101.9 will take part of the Leucan Outaouais Chefs’ Challenge on March 27th

18 March 2025 à 1:53 pm

The Leucan Outaouais Chefs’ Challenge is back, and after a two-year interruption, CHIP will have the chance to participate once again. This year, eight chefs will participate in this friendly culinary competition to benefit Leucan and Maison Papillon.

The Leucan Chefs’ Challenge brings together eight chefs and eight media outlets, including CHIP 101.9, which will once again be represented by cultural columnist and host Marie Gionet. The event will take place at the Hilton Lac-Leamy Conference Centre on March 27. Event and Development Manager Marie-Hélène Vinet explains what exactly the Chefs’ Challenge is:

The Chefs’ Challenge, which originated in the Saguenay region, has been running for nine years in several regions throughout Quebec, and this is seventh edition in the Outaouais. Each region takes advantage of the opportunity to showcase local restaurateurs, media, and products, in support of children with cancer and their families.
CHIP 101.9 will be joined by the chefs from Bistro Montebello and young Belha, a child ambassador for Leucan.

Leucan Outaouais points out that by contributing to their organization, we are helping to increase the chances of survival, reduce side effects and improve survivors’ quality of life by reducing the risk of after-effects.

Tickets are $325 each, or $3,000 for a table of 10. The goal is to surpass the $287,000 raised last year. Whether or not you attend the event in person, a silent auction is available to all online.

Remember in 2019 the team of Pontiac-born chef Yannick La Salle, accompanied by Gionet, won the competition.

Tickets can be purchased by clicking here.
