The Pontiac snowmobile association has indicated on its website that the Snowmobile trail network is closed until further notice. Area land owners have asked for the closure to prevent damage to their property. This decision was taken as a precaution after the mild weather that hit the area last week.

The Black River Bridge open to traffic
The Black River Bridge, located on the Black River Road in Waltham, has been reopened since Sunday to traffic. Access was temporarily closed on January 9 because of the high water level on the river. The Ministry of Transport thanks everyone for their patience and compliance.

Temporary closure of the Black river Bridge in Waltham
Due to the high level of the Black river, the Black river Bridge, located on Black river Street in Waltham, is temporarily closed to traffic. According to the Quebec Ministry of Transport, the water level is being monitored on a daily basis and the bridge will be reopened as soon as possible.

Last crossing of the year for the Quyon ferry
The Quyon ferry announced on its Facebook page that today December 13, is it’s last day of operation for the 2017 season. According to the operational hours posted on their website, quyonferry.com, the last crossing will leave at 10 PM tonight. The ferry will resume operations in the spring of 2018.
