Brian Goodman seeking Conservative Party nomination for Pontiac
Brian Goodman seeking Conservative Party nomination for Pontiac
Another candidate is vying for the federal Conservative Party nomination for the Pontiac riding, Chelsea resident Brian Goodman. Goodman has worked in federal politics for more than a decade, for a member of parliament, in the civil service and as a lobbyist.
He said that one of the reasons that he decided to seek the nomination was because he agreed with the policies of Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre, particularly when it comes to housing. He said he had sympathy for younger people who want to buy a home but are unable to afford one in the current environment.
He added that he volunteered with the campaign of Pontiac Conservative candidate Michel Gauthier in the 2021 election and thought that he could run a more professional campaign, given his previous experience.
