The Federation of Community Television Supports Emerging Artists with Cégeps en spectacle

The Fédération des télévisions communautaires autonomes du Québec is partnering with the Réseau intercollégial des activités socioculturelles du Québec (RIASQ) as part of the 2026 edition of Cégeps en spectacle, aiming to support emerging artists across Quebec and strengthen connections between the cultural, educational, and media sectors.

As part of this initiative, the Federation will award a scholarship at each of the five regional finals, given to a performance that advances to the national final. A representative of the Federation will attend each regional final to meet participants and present the prize, accompanied by members of the board of directors and the Federation’s staff.

The regional finals will take place on March 14th and 21st, 2026, notably at the École nationale d’aérotechnique and the cégeps of Rivière-du-Loup, Victoriaville, André-Laurendeau, and La Pocatière (Montmagny campus).

This partnership highlights the importance of local culture as a driver of regional vitality and reflects the mission of autonomous community television stations to give citizens a platform while contributing to the cultural dynamism of their communities.
