Fall Prevention Program for Adults 55+ in Shawville
Fall Prevention Program for Adults 55+ in Shawville
Adults aged 55 and over are invited to participate in the Integrated Dynamic Balance Program (IDBP), offered this spring in Shawville by the Connexions Resource Centre.
Sessions will take place every Monday and Friday, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., from March 16 to June 5, at the St-Paul Church Parish Hall, located at 530 Main Street.
This 10-week program, led by Céline Dagenais, aims to improve balance and coordination, strengthen leg muscles, and help participants prevent falls. Workshops will also teach how to respond in case of a fall and encourage maintaining an active lifestyle, while fostering social connections.
Organizers remind participants that spaces are limited and registration is required. Interested individuals can contact Céline Dagenais at 819-647-3553, extension 252260.
The program will be offered in English.
This initiative is made possible thanks to funding from community partners, including CHSSN, The Parish of West Quebec, and the Integrated Health and Social Services Centre of the Outaouais.
