Weather could complicate commute on Thursday and Friday

17 February 2022 à 12:00 am

This morning (February 17), Environment Canada issued two alerts for the Pontiac area, for a flash freeze followed by a dump of snow. Following the rain this morning, temperatures are expected to drop rapidly this afternoon, turning all the puddles and slush on the ground into ice. The alert warns motorists to adapt to changing road conditions, as well as urging caution on sidewalks and parking lots.

The snowfall will begin this evening, with 15 to 20 cm expected overnight.
