The Quebec Federation of Municipalities (FQM) recently revealed the composition of their new administrative council, the 47 officials elected by their peers representing all the regions of Quebec.
For the Outaouais region, the administrators were:
Luc Desjardins, the mayor of Ripon
Chantal Lamarche, warden of MRC Vallée-de-la-Gatineau
"On behalf of the FQM, I would like to congratulate and thank all the candidates for their commitment. I am convinced that the new team in place will allow us to effectively pursue our role as spokespersons for the regions,” wrote FQM President Jacques Demers (translated).
The new administrative countil will meet for the first time on Thursday January 27, where they will select their executive committee.
The FQM was founded in 1944 and is the voice of Quebec’s different regions and municipalities, defending their political and economic interests.
