Le Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux de l’Outaouais (CISSSO) will hold an open house to allow people to visit the new hemodialysis unit at the Shawville Hospital. The director of nursing at the Shawville Hospital, Gail Ryan, told CHIP that this highly anticipated hemodialysis unit will have a huge impact on the lives of the patients in need of this service and their families:
The unit will have 7 treatment stations and will allow the hospital to treat up to 24 people. Currently in the Pontiac, 15 people are in need of this service.
