New lighting was recently installed to illuminate the rink at the Centre de loisirs des Draveurs in Fort Coulonge. Guillaume Lavoie-Harvey, the leisure coordinator for the Municipalities of Fort Coulonge and Mansfield, spoke with CHIP 101.9 about the improvements.

“The arena lights are new LED lights that are instantaneous. We no longer need to wait for them to turn on or off. They are extremely brilliant. It looks like it’s daylight coming in through the roof. We are extremely happy with this addition,” he said (translated).

The Center de loisirs des Draveurs was able to benefit from a donation from the construction company Greenhill, which lent a lift to install the lights. This addition should also save electricity costs for the arena, which is scheduled to open on October 11.

The full (French-language) interview with Lavoie-Harvey is available here.
