National holidays: increased police presence

22 June 2018 à 12:00 am

Police officers of the Sûreté du Québec will intensify their operations on the roads during the long holidays weekend, from June 22 to July 2, 2018. For the holidays celebrating Quebec and Canada, the police officers will target the four leading causes of fatal collisions in Quebec. Impairment by alcohol, drugs, or a combination of both, speed, use of seatbelts and cell phone use while driving.

Also, for their own safety, motorcyclists must exercise caution, including anticipating risk, adopting predictable driving behavior, and adhering to prescribed speed limits and their own limitations.
