CHIP possède une licence de langue française au CRTC et assure par son mandat la promotion de la dualité linguistique au sein du territoire du Pontiac ainsi que celle de la vallée de la Gatineau et du comté de Renfrew, en Ontario.

La station de radio diffuse sur la fréquence du 101,9 sur la bande FM avec un émetteur d’une puissance de 10 KW, lui permettant de diffuser sur un grand territoire.

Afin de servir tous les gens de sa communauté, CHIP FM offre à ses auditeurs, une programmation diversifiée. L’un des buts principaux de la station est de bien informer la communauté avec des nouvelles locales et régionales qui ne sont pas nécessairement diffusées par d’autres médias régionaux. L’équipe entière de la station de radio travaille ardemment afin de faire de sa programmation, une qui reflète bien le portrait culturel, économique, politique, éducationnel et social de sa région”

En tant qu’organisme à but non lucratif, les revenus annuels de CHIP FM sont constitués; d’une subvention provenant du gouvernant provincial, des bingos hebdomadaires, radiothon annuel, ventre de publicités radio, frais d’adhésions ainsi que dons.

CHIP FM aussi connut sous le nom Radio Communautaire de Pontiac a été enregistrée en tant qu’organisme à but non lucratif en juin 1978. La première diffusion en ondes a eut lieu le 1er mars 1981. 

MRC Pontiac is accepting proposals for cultural fund

The MRC Pontiac has put out a call for applications concerning the cultural fund.

The purpose of this fund is to increase the number of cultural activities and events in the MRC, to promote access to the arts and culture, and to highlight and publicize our local heritage, as well as to promote Pontiac artists And contribute to their remuneration.

Organizations and municipalities with arts, literature or heritage projects have until June 16, 2017 to apply for funding from the Cultural Fund of the Ministry of Culture and the MRC of Pontiac.

Still accepting application for candidates for Municipal elections

People interested in submitting their candidacy for the upcoming municipal elections can still do so. They have until October 6th to file their official application. Candidates who run unopposed will be sworn in as acclaimed on October 9th.

In 2013, approximately 57% of municipal elected officials were elected by acclamation in the Pontiac MRC. Election day is on 5 November.

The Pontiac featured in Le Droit newspaper

Two pages were devoted to the Pontiac in yesterday’s Le Droit newspaper. Journalist Julien Paquette writes about the revitalization of the Pontiac economy with the two deputies of the region, Federal Representative William Amos and Provincial MNA André Fortin. In addition to the mining development by the Group Sphinx, there was also talk of investments in the agricultural sector and the potential of the Pontiac, to attract new families. A full article is also devoted to the results obtained by Sphinx Resources concerning the zinc deposits.

CSHBO: Public Call for Tenders

The Commission scolaire des Hauts-Bois-de-l’Outaouais has put out a public call for tender for the maintenance of green spaces for École Sieur-de-Coulonge, in Mansfield, École Poupore and St-Pierre in Fort-Coulonge and the Multiservice Center in Campbell’s Bay. The contract begins on May 1, 2018 and will be renewable annually for the years 2019 and 2020. The tender documents will be available as of October 2 at the Secretariat of Material Resources for the School Board. Interested parties must be available for a mandatory face 2 face on October 6th. Two adventurers passing through the Pontiac

Two adventurers from the City of Québec are passing through the MRC Pontiac. Pierre Pépin and Jennifer Gosselin are travelling through Canada and the United States by canoe. They are in their 4th year of adventuring. Elizabeth Séguin met with them to discuss their experiences.
