Freezing rain warning in effect Tuesday evening

Environment Canada is advising that freezing rain is expected this afternoon and evening (February 22) across southern Quebec.

“Nearly 5 millimetres of freezing precipitation is expected over Southwestern Quebec late in the day. Central sections of the province will receive between 10 and 15 mm early this evening or tonight. Over southernmost regions, temperatures will rise above the freezing mark, thus changing the freezing rain over to rain this evening,” the release states.
