Desjardins Group has announced the temporary closure of some of its service centers in the last hours.

In the Pontiac, the Chapeau branch, counter service will no longer be accessible until further notice, but ATM will always be accessible. Customers are encouraged to contact staff by phone and email if they have any questions.

For the Fort-Coulonge point of service, even if it remains open, customers are asked to take all the necessary precautions and to communicate with Desjardins staff directly by phone and email as much as possible.

Desjardins Group said that it was doing this to protect the health and safety of its employees, administrators, members and customers, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Desjardins mentioned that 92% of transactions were already carried out online or automatically, that is, other than at an ATM or at a cashier.

The 1,689 ATMs across Quebec will continue to be accessible, as will telephone service and internet, telephone and mobile services.

Finally, no shortage of cash is envisaged, according to Desjardins Group, and the ATM counters will therefore be restocked regularly.
