Deadly distractions at the wheel, according to the CAA-Quebec Foundation

The summer is the highest risk season on Quebec roads. Distracted driving, speeding and fatigue cause the number of fatalities to spike every year. In the hopes that 2018 is different, the CAA-Quebec Foundation encourages motorists to be vigilant. Annie Gauthier from CAA-Quebec:

The changes in the highway safety code could have a positive effect this year. The new rules on cell phones use behind the wheel, in effect since June 30, should dissuade many from distracted driving. In addition, there are now restrictions on the number of young passengers that drivers 19 years old and younger can facilitate at night.
