A car rally fundraiser for the Cooperative du Center de Loisirs des Draveurs will take place this Saturday, April 2. Participants can register starting at 9:30 a.m. at the Center de Loisirs des Draveurs Century 21 Élite, at 33 rue Centre récréatif in Fort-Coulonge. The registration cost is $20 per person. One of the organizers of the event, Sandra Armstrong, said that participants will be challenged in a series of questions, the answers to which are located in the Fort-Coulonge/Mansfield area.

“It’s going to be April 2, so Saturday. I will specify, in the sectors of Fort-Coulonge and Mansfield. You know, it can be expanded a little, but it’s in our two villages because we’re going to give the profits to the Co-op des Draveurs , so to the Fort-Coulonge arena and, then, the rest to the winners. We didn’t ask for a lot. There are already people who have approached us to donate goodies for participating: the Stinson garage, Patrick Bertrand and Brenda Tallon, the dollar store. Anyone who wants to give us little gifts, that’s fine. It’s free, for those people, who give it to us, well, we’ll take it. It is a participation of the people from our region.”
- Organizer Sandra Armstrong (translated)

Profits will be donated for the fundraising campaign to replace the compressor at the arena. The canteen will be open and prizes will be awarded for the first three places. For more information, contact Joanne Allard at 819-650-3111.
