According to data obtained by residents of the Upper Pontiac, l’Isle-aux-Allumettes, Chichester and Sheenboro, the number of power outages, since the beginning of 2019, has reached 85, a number which beats the 2016 record of 75 outages.

Though the strong winds and the rain, over the weekend, had a significant impact in the Upper Pontiac, causing about 10 outages, the total number of minutes accumulated per outages for 2019 remains low.

In 2019, the number of minutes without service in the Upper Pontiac has reached 2,444 compared to 2,802 minutes last year and 6,629 minutes in 2013. The vast majority of the Pontiac residents saw their power returned between Friday afternoon and Saturday.
