Western Québec deplores the loss of school commissioners among Francophones
The adoption of Bill 40, amending school governance across Quebec, is still receiving much attention among the education community. Though the English school boards in Quebec did not see the elimination of their school commissioners, contrary to the French school boards, the Chairman of the Western Québec School Board, Alain Guy deplores the fact that the French school board commissioners were thrown out without a general consensus from the people who elected them.
