“We need a helping hand” in CHSLDs – François Legault
The most recent briefing of the Québec government revealed that the Outaouais region has 181 cases of COVID-19 on its territory. The MRC Pontiac remains at 5 cases or less. No deaths have occurred in the region.
In his daily press briefing, the Premier of Quebec, François Legault, called on everyone to contribute to the fight against COVID-19 in CHSLDs.
Aware that the shortage of staff in the CHSLDs was felt before the COVID-19 pandemic, the Premier declared that 1,250 employees were missing from establishments across Quebec.
The Quebec government has also asked that people in the education with expertise in healthcare, including nursing educators, as well as social economy businesses, lend a hand on a voluntary basis.
