Water system in Fort-Coulonge almost back in order
Fort-Coulonge Mayor Christine Francoeur has announced, with relief, that the municipality has finally obtained and installed the part get the town’s water treatment plant back up and running. However, she warned that the boil-water advisory, which has been in place since the start of August, isn’t over yet. Those in town and also some sections of Mansfield-et-Pontefract who are served by the plant will still have to boil their water until the necessary tests are done to make sure it is up to provincial standards. She added that they would soon be flushing the lines, and residents might notice some discoloration in their water while it takes place.
The municipality will make an announcement when the water is potable.
