Vote Split Secures Third Term for Jane Toller

Vote Split Secures Third Term for Jane Toller

3 November 2025 à 9:32 am

The final results of the Pontiac MRC warden election were not fully confirmed on the night of Monday, November 3. However, incumbent Warden Jane Toller appeared to widen her lead over her challengers. By late Monday, Toller had 2,054 votes compared with 1,593 for her closest rival, Jean-Pierre Landry. Josey Bouchard followed closely with 1,457 votes, while Bruno St-Cyr had 429 votes.

Mathematically, it remained possible for Bouchard or Landry to overtake Toller, though the vote so far suggested a divided electorate—something some of Toller’s opponents had feared. Notably, both Josey Bouchard and Jean-Pierre Landry are municipal councillors from Campbell’s Bay.
