Victoria Day long weekend: caution on the roads

The Sûreté du Québec is asking motorists during this Victoria Day long weekend to be cautious on the roads. The police will intensify their interventions on the roads from today, May 17th and until Monday May 20th.

The SQ would like, by intensifying its interventions, to improve this year’s results by reducing the amount of collisions. As a comparison to last year: 4 fatal collisions and 143 collisions occurred over the same weekend. Some 83 files had been opened for impaired driving by alcohol, drugs or both.
