Vaccine passport needed to access SAQ and SQDC starting next week

10 January 2022 à 12:00 am

In a press conference on January 6, Health Minister Christian Dubé announced that a vaccine passport would be mandatory for accessing the SAQ and SQDC as of January 18. The minister took a hard line on those who refused to be vaccinated, saying that these new restrictions would limit their contacts.

“If you don’t want to get vaccinated, stay home,” he said.

He pointed out that there were currently 20,000 health care workers across the province were absent from work due to the virus.

At the press conference, the minister also mentioned that the vaccine passport will eventually be updated to require three doses of vaccine, but did not lay out a timeline, as all adults won’t qualify for a booster dose until January 17.
