Update from the municipality of Alleyn-et-Cawood: Services to residents

2 September 2020 à 12:00 am

During the COVID-19 pandemic, different services were offered to residents of the municipality of Alleyn-et-Cawood. During the first few months of lock-down, the municipality, which has a large number of elderly residents, offered a grocery delivery service. According to the Director General, Isabelle Cardinal, the municipality had a special agreement with the Sûreté du Quebec to pick up groceries from the Metro in Gracefield.

Due to the government loosening restrictions as part of the economic recovery plan, the delivery service ended in July. However, Isabelle Cardinal explained that an info-letter was issued to residents to keep them inform on the most recent developments of the municipality and COVID-19 measures, a service that will be modified to continue following the Pandemic.

The municipality of Alleyn-et-Cawood recently reopening its office to public. By appointment only, a bell has been installed at the municipal office and only one resident will be served at a time, ensuring the safety of its residents and staff.
