Treatments ongoing to combat biting insects in Fort-Coulonge
Every spring in the Fort-Coulonge/Mansfield area, treatments against biting insects are carried out to reduce the number of these unwanted pests in the region. In recent weeks, helicopters could be heard operating in the area, however, the amount of bugs biting this year has prompted complaints from the public.
CHIP 101.9 spoke with Richard Vadeboncoeur, biologist and vice-president of business development at GDG Environnement, the company that manages our area, to get a handle on the situation. Vadeboncoeur explains how his treatments are carried out each year:
