TransporAction services threatened

Pontiac MRC Warden Raymond Durocher says that recent changes to the Transit Assistance Program (PADTC) are threatening TransporAction operations.

According to section 48.19 of the Transportation Act, only organized transportation is eligible for funding.

Beginning in 2018, TransporAction, whose survival depends mainly on volunteer drivers, will no longer receive any financial assistance to cover some of the volunteer travel expenses.
