Tourisme Outouais celebrates 40th anniversary in Fort-Coulonge
Tourisme Outaouais marked its 40th anniversary in the Pontiac yesterday, at the Café Downtown in Fort-Coulonge with many industry players in attendance. CHIP 101.9 spoke with Director General Julie Kinnear about the state of the tourism industry during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“People are ready. So we are really optimistic for the summer season, people are ready to visit our MRCs and our regions. Well, anyway, I think people really appreciate the events. We really feel it and we hear it a lot. There are things we maybe took for granted before: the beauty of nature, being with our loved ones, having a drink and a bite to eat with our friends. I think we appreciate it a lot. So people really want to come; tourism will resume.”
