Total fire ban now in effect in the Pontiac MRC
An official and complete fire ban has been in effect since 9 a.m. this morning across the entire territory of the MRC Pontiac.
Until further notice, no open-air fires are permitted, including outdoor installations that are normally allowed.
Authorities specify, however, that propane‑fueled fire pits remain permitted.
This measure aims to reduce the risk of wildfires in the current conditions, which are favorable to fire spread.
Authorities thank the public for its cooperation and vigilance in helping protect the community.
