Three candidates in l’Ile-du-Grand-Calumet by-election

The candidates have been finalized in the by-election race for l’Île-du-Grand-Calumet’s fourth council seat, following Alice Meilleur-Pieschke’s retirement due to health reasons. Rolande Normandeau will be taking another crack at the position, as she was narrowly defeated by Meilleur-Pieschke (182 votes to 148) in last November’s general election.

Normandeau will face off against Jean-Guy Brousseau and Francine Tremblay. CHIP 101.9 will be reaching out to each of the candidates. Advance polls are scheduled for July 31 and election day is August 8.
