Three arrested for drug trafficking in Mansfield
Sûreté du Québec officers from MRC Pontiac, in coordination with narcotics officers from the Outaouais, conducted three arrests and three searches yesterday (Wednesday, May 10) in connection with the trafficking of narcotics in a residence and two apartments in Mansfield.
During searches on rue Graveline, rue Dagenais and chemin Thomas-Lefebvre, the police seized:
• About 2,000 pills of methamphetamine;
• More than 15 g of cocaine;
• More than 2,400 contraband cigarettes;
• A small amount of cannabis;
• More than 6 guns
This police intervention follows an investigation initiated thanks to information received from the public. Three Mansfield men aged 59, 58 and 31, were arrested and later released on a promise to appear. They are due back at the Campbell’s Bay Courthouse at a later date, where they could face charges of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking, drug trafficking, firearms offences, cannabis law and charges under the tax on tobacco.
