Thorne prepares to launch its farmers’ market and issues a call for vendors

4 June 2026 à 1:30 pm

The Thorne community is looking for vendors to participate in their new Farmers’ Market, for which the upcoming season is currently being prepared.

The initiative aims to bring together a wide variety of local vendors, including farmers and producers, bakers, artisans, food vendors, as well as creators of handmade products such as honey, preserves, flowers, and plants.

The market will take place on the municipal grounds in Thorne. Vendor spaces will be available for $15 each, with spots measuring approximately 10 x 10. Exhibitors must provide their own setup materials, such as tables and pop‑up tents.

The market will run alongside the existing flea market, which is expected to help attract strong foot traffic and create a lively atmosphere for both visitors and vendors.

A contingency plan is also in place in case of rain, with the option of using the municipal building for an indoor setup. The recreation committee will also operate a canteen on site during opening hours.

Those interested in becoming vendors can contact the organizers at: associationrecreativeladysmith@gmail.com.
