“There was never any question […] of using the Center for the campaign” – Pierre Ducasse
During his visit to école secondaire Sieur-de-Coulonge, the Pontiac NPDQ candidate, Samuel Gendron, was asked by CHIP 101.9 about Jane Toller’s reasoning regarding the NPDQ’s letter. Samuel Gendron told CHIP 101.9 that his party never intended to use the work place owned by Jane Toller as a campaign office.
Questioned by email, Pierre Ducasse, President of the Outaouais Regional Association of the NPDQ, also stated that he has never had the plan to have a campaign office, let alone using someone’s place of work.
He stated that they knew that they were going for a modest campaign, and there was never any talk by the party or regional association or local campaigns about using that space or anywhere else for the campaign.
On August 15, the NPDQ published a letter entitled “Des obstacles réels à la participation politique”, signed by, among others, the NDPQ candidate in Pontiac, Samuel Gendron. The person targeted in this letter, Jane Toller, responded last week to on CHIP 101.9 where she gave her version of events.
