The Union draws up a positive assessment of yesterday’s teachers’ strike
Strikers were present everywhere across the Pontiac yesterday (April 14), for the strike affecting all schools. Pickets were located across the MRC Pontiac, either on Route 148 in Shawville and Campbell’s Bay but also on Baume Street in Fort-Coulonge and in front of the schools of the Hauts-Bois-de-l’Outaouais and the Western Quebec School Board. The social security manager and Secretary-Treasurer of the Syndicat du personnel de l’enseignement des Hautes-Rivières (SPEHR), Guy Croteau, said he was satisfied with the mobilization of its members and hopes to see the negotiations relaunched.
