The Shawville Curling Club has added a virtual golf simulator to its list of services, allowing golf fans to continue playing throughout the winter.

Members and non-members are able to play a number of different courses from all across the world, and play all 18-holes. According to the curling club director, Jeff Russell, this is the first official year that they have been able to offer a full simulated golf league, which kicked off last week.

On the other side of business, Russell says they are currently installing the ice for the curling rink, and they hoping to have their first games in the week of November 14.

Russell added that people who are interested in participating this year, in either the simulated golf league or in curling there are two Facebook pages available with all the important details.

Note, the Pontiac golf player, Stéphane Paré, used virtual golf last winter. Paré won the “Ottawa Valley Golf Association’s 2022 City and District Championships A Division”, last summer.
