The President of the UMQ in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region as part of his tour

The President of the Union des municipalités du Québec (UMQ) and Mayor of Mascouche, Guillaume Tremblay, will be visiting the Bas-Saint-Laurent region on Wednesday, March 25th, 2026, as part of his provincial tour titled “New Beginning.”

During the visit, he is scheduled to meet with the Mayor of Rimouski and UMQ regional representative, Guy Caron, along with several municipal officials from the region to discuss local issues.

A press briefing is set to take place at 1:15 p.m. at the Complexe sportif Desjardins in Rimouski.

The tour aims to strengthen ties between the UMQ and municipalities across Quebec, as the organization—representing local governments for over 100 years—continues its mission to promote autonomous and effective local administrations.
