The MRC Pontiac announces a series of measures in its office
The MRC Pontiac has announced the implementation of a series of measures in order to minimize the spread of COVID-19 on its territory.
– The public consultations in the municipalities for the Draft Strategic Vision Statement for the Pontiac is postponed to a later date
– Public access will be restricted to the MRC office, located at 602 Route 301 N in Campbell’s Bay
Until further notice, SAAQ payments, payments of municipal fines, and TNO lease and tax payments:
Will only be available on Mondays and Tuesdays. The MRC encourages the population to use other methods of payment, such as the Internet.
For any other MRC service:
Staff will still be available to serve the public by telephone (819-648-5689, ext. 210) or by e-mail (mrc@mrcpontiac.qc.ca).
The MRC Pontiac has also implemented telecommuting measures and is evaluating the possibility of extending this practice to as many services as possible. A 14-day isolation period is imposed on MRC employees returning from a foreign trip. Until further notice, MRC Regional Council will be closed to the public.
According to the MRC, the situation will be re-evaluated on a daily basis as new information becomes available.
As Warden Jane Toller mentioned in her statement to the people of Pontiac on March 13th, these difficult times are first and foremost an opportunity to express the collective solidarity of the MRC.
Residents are encouraged to continue to follow the hygiene and precautionary practices established by the Province and the World Health Organization.
-Special attention must be paid to the elderly, especially individuals 70 years of age and over, since they are at greater risk of complications.
