The Mont-Trembant Diables join the league
The Outaouais Senior A Hockey League will undergo a few changes for this upcoming 2019-2020 season. CHIP 101.9 recently spoke to one of the organizers of the league and owner of the Pontiac Senior Comets, Dannick Boiverts, who talked about the newest addition to the league this year: the Mont-Tremblant Diables.
This is now the 4th confirmed team in the league along with the Maniwaki Foresters, the Pontiac (Fort-Coulonge) Comets and the Mont-Laurieur Montagnards. According to the information obtained by CHIP 101.9, no other teams will be joining the league for the upcoming season.
On the other hand, there will still be new regulations established this season. First, players born in 2000 will now be eligible to play on a team this year. The league also brought several changes in governance to improve the process and levels of play. Teams must now have contracts with 3 goaltenders per team and the matches will also be filmed throughout the season.
It should also be noted that the end of the trading period will occur a few weeks earlier this year, on January 2nd.
