The installation of lighting equipment for the Félix-Gabriel-Marchand bridge begins January 17
The installation of lighting equipment on the Félix-Gabriel Marchand Bridge in Mansfield will begin this Monday (January 17). The work will cause the bridge to close to traffic temporarily, until January 21.
Phare Ouest, the organization behind the lighting project, will be holding an official opening on Friday January 28. Spokesperson Louis Harvey said that while the temporary closure was unfortunate, with the bridge being closed for many years, the new lighting would make it even more of an attraction.
“We deeply apologize for this small inconvenience, but it is to ultimately have an enhancement of the bridge. Everyone is going to be extremely happy,” he said (tranlsated).
