The George Bryson Cultural House Christmas Market is canceled
The Christmas Market which takes place annually at the George Bryson Cultural House will not take place this year. This was confirmed by one of the members of the board of directors of Maison Bryson, Nathalie Denault who explained that the challenges related to health safety rules prevent the event from being held.
“We would have liked to hold the Christmas Market, but we could not organize kiosks inside, it would have been difficult to have food on site like the previous editions, the number of kiosks would have been fewer, we also had to have volunteers to enforce security. Not to mention that some of our volunteers could not expose themselves to the risk of catching the virus, so we had no choice to cancel under these circumstances ” insisted Nathalie Denault.
The Christmas Market attracts more than thirty kiosks each year with artisans from the region. As Nathalie Denault explains, the cancellation will have an impact on the finances of the George Bryson Cultural House.
The tradition of the Christmas Market at the George Bryson Cultural House began during the filming of the show “La petite seduction” starring Isabelle Boulay. Since then, the tradition has continued every year. The full interview with Nathalie Denault is available here.
