The Flavours of the Pontiac are now available in one place

The MRC Pontiac launched an online marketplace called FlavoursofthePontiac.ca this week to promote sales for local farmers and producers of the region. CHIP 101.9 spoke to the director of economic development at the MRC Pontiac, Cyndy Phillips, about this new website. She notes that the COVID-19 pandemic influenced the MRC to go virtual with this iniatiative.

Visitors who visit the site can explore and purchase products directly from local producers with the help of the “Local Line” platform. Cyndy Phillips mentionned that interested producers who want to sell their goods on the website must contact Chakib Ahmimed, the economic development commissioner at the MRC Pontiac.

The initiative is made possible thanks to a financial contribution of $ 68,000 through the Fonds d’appui au rayonnement des régions (FARR) from the ministère des Affaires municipales et de l’Habitation (MAMH) and the MRC of Pontiac in partnership with the SADC Pontiac.
