Once again, the Phare Ouest organization will be hosting a series of movie nights this year, which will take place at the Café Downtown located on rue Baume in Fort-Coulonge. The first evening, which will take place on Tuesday, October 19 at the Café Downtown at 7 p.m., is the Quebec film, “Souterrain”, dealing with work in the mines.

“So to explain to you the formula, there will be on 7 films planned in our fall, winter and spring season. So, it’s like a 5 to 7 format at the start where people come to eat a bit and we quietly set it up to present the film. We receive guests, then we screen the film from 7:00 p.m. Afterwards, there is a good chance that we will do a sort of discussion of the film because we consider it important, with the subjects that we discuss, to involve the public. So, every evening will be memorable and extraordinary,” said Phare Ouest member Louis Harvey.

In total, a series of 7 films that will be shown once a month, until April 2022. There will be happy hours and meals available on site and attendees are invited to reserve their seats directly at Café Downtown. The cost is $3 per person.
