The ESSC Ski delegation to school among the winners of Forces Avenir
The expedition made up of students from Sieur-de-Coulonge High School (ESSC) who traveled from Fort-Coulonge to the House of Commons in Ottawa while cross-country skiing as part of the Ski at School program, was named a winner by the organization Forces Avenir. The coordinator of this project, Guillaume Lavoie-Harvey, said he was touched by this honor but especially underlined the impact that the expedition had.
Despite the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, Guillaume Lavoie-Harvey said he was confident to see a new expedition to Ottawa from the Pontiac, during the winter of 2021.
Forces Avenir aims to recognize, honor and promote student engagement in projects that contribute to the formation of conscious, responsible, active and persevering citizens, both rooted in their community and open to the world.
