The CREDDO has been tasked with developing a regional strategy to combat invasive exotic species.
The CREDDO has been mandated to develop a regional strategy to combat invasive exotic plant species (both aquatic and terrestrial) in the Outaouais region. The goal is to identify priority actions for prevention, detection, and control at the regional level and to plan their implementation.
Over the next three years, several initiatives will be carried out to develop a comprehensive regional strategy, which will be rolled out through multiple prevention and detection campaigns across the Outaouais territory. Ève-Marie Hébert serves as the Climate Change Adaptation Project Manager at CREDDO.
In the coming months, DREDDO aims to bring together regional stakeholders at a collaborative roundtable. To do so, they are seeking representatives of land users—particularly hunters, anglers, and outdoor enthusiasts—who ideally have some experience in managing invasive exotic plant species (EEE) to join the roundtable discussions.
Those interested can contact CREDDO directly.
