The Coopérative de solidarité de la rivière Coulonge is set up
In this week’s Pontiac Journal, the former mayor of Fort-Coulonge Hector Soucie wrote a letter in which he mentioned that the Coopérative de solidarité de la rivière Coulonge is in the process of being established.
Hector Soucie writes that the provisional committee is made up of volunteers for this cooperative project and is made up of business people, retirees and people with experience in the forestry industry. Hector Soucie says he hopes the Cooperative will represent a solution to help the project to revive forestry activities at the Davidson industrial site. He also says he hopes the various ministers of the provincial government will not forget the Pontiac.
You can consult the letter of Mr. Hector Soucie here.
In addition, the petition to support the relaunch of the Davidson industrial site will end this week. For a few weeks now, the population has been invited to sign this petition, which is still found in many businesses across the Pontiac. The petition will be presented to the member for Pontiac at the National Assembly in Quebec, André Fortin.
