Several facilities of the Outaouais Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) reported influenza outbreaks, due to the very high frequency of influenza in the Outaouais in recent weeks. Currently, at the Hull Hospital, four care units have been affected. In order to protect patients, hospital workers and visitors the CISSSO have taken measures to limit influenza cases by limiting the number of visitors to 1 per patient, having quarantine protocols requiring patients to wear a mask and wash their hands as soon as they arrive if they show any signs of a fever, cough or respiratory symptoms.

Security guards at the entrances will ensure that these instructions are followed. For the moment, these measures only apply to the Hull Hospital. Depending on how the situation progresses, measures could be applied in other facilities.
