Le Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de l’Outaouais will study the possibilities for adapting the health facilities in the Outaouais, including the Pontiac, to withstand extreme weather events. The Director of Technical Services and Logistics at the Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de l’Outaouais, Stéphane Pleau, gives more details.

Funding of $ 300,000 provided by Health Canada under its ADAPTATIONSanté program will allow CISSS de l’Outaouais to carry out certain analyzes of its facilities, particularly in the Pontiac, as explained by Mr. Pleau.

After the completion of various studies, the CISSS de l’Outaouais plans to propose an action plan in February 2022 that will include two components, namely the implementation of measures to increase the capacity of facilities to withstand the effects of extreme weather conditions, and improving emergency procedures at such events.

The complete interview in French with Stéphane Pleau is available here.
